medieval lieutenants tower still provides
an idyllic and private retreat from the

accommodation provides an ideal answer
for couples or families.
Torre del Tenente is located at the highest
point and at the edge of the tiny
picturesque hamlet of Aqualoreto,
complete with church, small shop and bar.
With fabulous views all around views
across some of Umbria's most beautiful
countryside, Torre del Tenente enjoys a
unique combination - proximity to an
idyllic, small hamlet, yet maintaining a
degree of aloofness and privacy, a legacy
from its fascinating past. Sensitively
restored and built on three floors. We
could not imagine a more romantic and
ideal place for a writer, painter , or just
honeymooners. It is extremely
comfortable with two living rooms that
ensure privacy for two couples, while
also enjoying togetherness. Every
comfort has been thought of - it is after
all, the owner's home (in the summer
she moves to a small cottage on the
grounds, maintaining a discreet and
unobtrusive presence.) Entertaining is
fabulous: elegant dining with a log fire
in the autumn months, and al fresco
dining in the summer, with a patio off
of the living room complete with an
Umbrian panoramica as a backdrop.
The beautiful terraced gardens, with
lawns and old fashioned roses abounding,
leads down to the pool area, enjoying
the same stunning views.
