With wide and breathtaking views over Lake
Trasimeno from its large terraces and pool
area, the beautiful Casale di Caprara is a
unique and comfortable home away from
home, with enough space and amenities to
cater for a large group of friends or family.
The country house of its Florentine owners,
Casale la Caprara has been carefully
restored to a high level, while retaining its
traditional roots. Local "pietra siena" stone,
chestnut wood, hand painted walls in
traditional colors, and handmade Umbrian
cotto floors, combine with comfortable,
but elegant furnishings and modern
amenities, such as a large American style
ice maker and a well equipped kitchen.
Some of the pretty bedrooms on the first
floor have views over the lake and the top
floor is made for older children who will
love the game room, complete with a billiard
table. Outside living is a must here, with a
magnificent pergola covered dining area
facing the lake, a pizza oven and barbecue.
The swimming pool has an added bonus of
having a shaded area, shower and changing
room. It is however, the views of Lake
Trasimeno and beyond to Castiglione del
Lago, Monte Cetona and Monte Amiata,
which will bring you back to Casale la
Caprara more than once.
