Part of Umbria's extensive
legacy of small historic villages,
Borgo San Biagio is a tiny
hamlet high in the hills of
verdant Umbria. Its Tower,
originally built for defensive
purposes, protecting the valley
against invasion by foreign
barbarians, is over 1000 years
old. Very secluded, guests can
enjoy the hamlet's peaceful
location, while still being
within easy reach of
"civilization". Its setting makes
it ideal for nature lovers, who
have sighted wild boar or
porcupines while walking in
the woods. The hamlet has
been carefully restored in
comfortable local style, while
retaining many original features.
The huge pool is wonderfully
enticing and each property has
table, chairs and umbrella.
Renato often greets his guests
personally and ensures that
they are happy and well looked
after, and his pride in the
hamlet, local knowledge and
enthusiasm in the comments of
the visitors book. It is ideal for
couples wanting peace and
seclusion or a group of friends
who would enjoy taking the
hamlet for its separate
accommodation, yet with the
facility the facility of its
restored chapel for gathering
together for eating or relaxing.

special place for very special
people.
RENATO'S TOWER: This
tower will appeal to those
wishing to find a wonderfully
eccentric and romantic place
to stay and has been featured
in a best selling honeymoon
guide. There is one room per
floor, all remarkably spacious
and bright. At the top of the
tower (more than 80 steps up)
is a delightfully bizarre
battlement roof terrace, with
reclining chairs, umbrella and
a small pool for cooling off.

IL FORNO Haas a warm and
welcoming atmosphere.
Outside, stone steps lead from
the living room down to a
small private garden, while the
indoor stairs up to the
bedroom are original and very
steep. It has a private feel to it,
which has appealed to couples
wishing to be on their own or
enjoying a quiet holiday with
a child

CASA DEL CONTADINO:
Renato has carefully restored
this former dwelling to provide
comfortable accommodation
for a family or two couples.
Attractive old ceramic tiles and
local fabrics contrast with the
warm color washed walls and
guests have their own garden
area.
CASA DI VENERE:
Recently restored, Casa di Venere is Renato's favorite. It is complete with two double bedrooms, a large Jacuzzi bath, and a glass floor. Situated below the tower, there is also a private outside dining area and a small garden.
