In a beautiful corner of Tuscany, and exactly
in proximity to the antique village of Vorno,
near the medieval of Lucca, Villa Al
Boschiglia was built around the middle of
the 17th century.
Reserved and protected by an enclosure made
by front viewing stones, this villa is the true
expression of Lucca's sober architecture,
following the respect of the rules in placing
the main floor raised from the ground floor, in
the entrance portal with the double flight
stairway, in the symmetrical distribution of
rooms around the central salon, in memory of
a lifestyle based on an easy elegance of those
days.
One arrives from the town and is embraced
and conquered by the gentle colors and the
sharp fragrances of the surrounding
countryside. Upon reaching the gate, one is
taken by the sight of the cypresses, that are
"tall and pure" and are laid out in a double
row along both sides of the entrance avenue,
and seem to be coming to meet the guests
and wishing a warm welcome. Within the
wide park of the villa are lime, oak, olive
and magnolia trees, along with shrubs and
roses that are an ideal background for the
romantic style swimming pool, along with its
pergola of bougainvillea. In this atmosphere,
culture and art are combined together and
the charm of living in the villa are
celebrated by the many guests, who are going
to remain fascinated by the flavor of this
beautiful location.
