The beautifully restored stone country
house in located in the Chianti wine region
between Florence and Siena. Shortly after
exiting the Autostrada, you will find this
quiet, tranquil and private spot. And yet, it
is within walking distance (15 - 20 min.) to
the charming town of San Donato in Poggio,
where you will find a bakery, bar, butcher
shop, restaurant, pharmacy, ATM and other
shops. It is an excellent base for excursions
to the quaint villages of the Chianti - Greve,
Panzano, Castellina in Chianti and Radda.
The famous medieval cities of Florence,
Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano are easy
day trips.
You can relax and settle into a different
rhythm here under the wisteria covered
pergola or on the covered loggia or by the
beautiful swimming pool which is
surrounded by flower filled antique orci; or
take a walk in the woods where on can
discover a stone picnic table, a running
stream, or stroll to a nearby winery.
The property has 4000 sq. ft. of living space
with one of the apartments separate, but
adjacent to the house. The bedrooms all have
their own private entrances with en-suite
baths (two have small kitchens as well). The
house is comfortably furnished with many
Tuscan antiques, as befitting the style of the
house.
