Guests staying at Le Querce have said that
they particularly enjoy its elevated, rural
and secluded position, yet its proximity to
the delightful walled town of nearby
Lucignano, gives them a real flavor of this
unspoiled part of Tuscany.
Le Querce has a lovely feel about it and
much reflects its delightful owner, who
visits her home in Italy frequently. Dating
from the 17th century, this cozy and intimate
house has been comfortably furnished in
traditional, elegant Italian style with many
paintings and antiques from the owner's
family home. There are two separate living
areas - the summer living room with
windows opening onto the garden, and the
first floor study / living area with log fire,
ideal for autumn evenings as well as being
a quiet haven for relaxation. Le Querce is
very private, with lovely views from its well
maintained garden and woodlands. Guests
will enjoy whiling away the day at the lovely
pool area with covered dining area, barbeque
shower, kitchenette and bath - ideal for
entertaining. Silvana, the housekeeper, will
prepare simple Tuscan food for her guests.
Located in the rural countryside, Le Querce
is only a short drive from the fast road to
Siena and Florence, and is within easy reach
of the major sites and wine growing areas of
Tuscany and northern Umbria, as well as the
less frequented hill towns of southern Tuscany.
This is a highly recommended holiday base.
