La Torre provides an elegant and

Having been carefully restored to a very
high standard with great visual flair and
attention to detail, with pretty
contemporary fabrics and rugs; and
preserving a warm rustic feel with flag
stone floors, exposed beams and color
washed walls, La Torre is an ideal
retreat for a sophisticated adult group or
family with older children. While the
elegant living room and study area with
family photos, books and works of art
has been the scene of many a happy
family gathering, special mention must
also be made of the farmhouse kitchen ,
with hanging baskets and a large open
fireplace, perfect for cooking meats and
the very comfortable bedrooms. Guests
will enjoy eating out on the terrace with
its spectacular views over the ever
changing landscape of the Val d'Orcia.
In spring, green fields contrast with bright
red poppies, and in summer the fields turn
a deep yellow - ochre as the wheat ripens.
Some will linger by the pool and BBQ area,
while others will go touring, as the house is
very well located for exploring the exquisite
hill towns nearby like Pienza, Cetona and
Montepulciano; as well as being within easy
access of the Florence / Rome train linen for
a day trip. Others will simply wish to explore
the walking trails of the region, or ride, or
cycle along the "strade bianche", captivated
by the beauty of this very special region of
Tuscany.
Ground Floor:
Comfortable living room with antique stone fireplace, two doors opening to a lawn and stone paved terraces dominating the valley for unforgettable drinks at sunset. A door leads to a study / TV room that can become a comfortable single bedroom for a sudden guest. There is an en-suite bath that can be used as a guest's bath. There is a large dining room with a traditional peasant's hearth and a large table seating 16 people. A double door opens to a covered stone terrace for al fresco dining with two tables seating up to 24 people. From here there are stunning views of the Val d'Orcia. Adjacent to the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen with 8 gas hobs, two ovens, a double sink, dishwasher and great space for cooking and storage. There is a further room with a double door fridge and ice maker, washer / dryer and ironing equipment.
First Floor
Stairs lead from the kitchen to the first floor, which can also be reached from the parking area. There is a master bedroom with king sized bed and en-suite bath. A twin bedroom with en-suite bath is also on the level. An external staircase leads to the top floor of the tower with a queen sized bedroom with en-suite bath
