La Maccinaia is a beautiful property located
in a very quiet location, in the heart of the
Chianti region, between Gaiole and
Castelnuova Berardenga. The main villa
dates to the 17th century, and has been
immaculately restored by its Belgian owner,
who combined modern design with original
Tuscan architecture. The property is
equipped with the highest standard of mod
cons - AIR CONDITIONING, wi-fi, large
flat screen SAT TV, and an especially well
equipped kitchen, along with a 20 x 40 ft.
swimming pool. The bedrooms are
furnished with great taste, and almost all
have en-suite baths. Just across from the
main villa is a guest house that can
accommodate six people. This part of the
property is of a more recent construction,
but maintains the same high level as the
main villa. A particular feature is a covered
veranda which makes al fresco dining a
lovely experience. The panoramic portion
of La Maccinaia allows guests to enjoy
colorful views, especially from the guest
house terrace and the pool area. The English
speaking caretaker lives on the property in
an apartment with a separate entrance.
