Located between Florence and Rome, and about
45 minutes south of Siena, La Bandita is an old
farmhouse and out building sitting within the
Lucciolabella Nature Reserve, with sweeping
views of the Val d'Orcia UNESCO heritage
park, the the hill towns of Montalcino, Pienza,
Bagno Vignoni and Radicofani.
The Val d'Orcia is the quintessential Tuscany
of post cards and calendars, and has been
rigorously protected from modern development.
The result is a breathtaking and unblemished
landscape. The area is also culturally rich and
historical, with small walled villages still
beautifully preserved, frescoed monasteries,
and imposing medieval fortresses guarding the
hilltops. Less the 20 minutes away, Tuscany's
twin wine capitals of Montalcino and
Montepulciano produce Brunello and Nobile,
some of Italy's top wines in vineyards on the
sloping hillsides.
What makes La Bandita truly unique is how
designers Ab Rogers in London and DA Studio
in Florence collaborated to set aside the "rustic"
aesthetic (dark woods, heavy fabrics, small
windows etc. ) of most Tuscan houses, to create
a luxury retreat with a fresh contemporary
design. Although all of the materials are
traditional and local, and the original external
features of the old farmhouse have been
maintained, the open common spaces and
spacious, light filled guest rooms are totally
modern.
Inside, you will find cream colored stone
floors, queen size beds with luxury white linens
from Bussati, massive showers with Santa
Maria Novella and Hotel Sirenuse skin care
products, and in several rooms, stand alone
bathtubs with views over the valley and screens
on the windows. The kitchen is outfitted with
professional appliances and is designed as the
center of the loft like main common area of the
ground floor. There is a long wooden table for
dining, a record player with the owner's own
collection of classic LPs and a flat screen TV
in front of a large open fireplace. WI-FI
internet is available throughout the building.
The property itself sits on a four acre property
surrounded by rolling sheep pastures and wheat
fields. There is a 36 sq. meter infinity
swimming pool facing west across the wide
valley, a hot tub with Jacuzzi jets, and a covered
dining pergola for al fresco dining and relaxing.
Your nearest neighbors are only sheep, so there
are no restrictions on late night parties.
Daily breakfast is provided at no charge. The
full time gourmet chef is available for all
shopping and meals. Lunches and dinners are
charged at a flat rate of € 25 and € 40 per person
not including wine. The chef is also available
for cooking lessons and market visits. You will
also have access to the owner's personal wine
cellar and a humidor packed with fine Cuban
cigars.

The main house contains 7 double bedrooms
with en-suite baths along with a guest house 15
meters away from the main house. The entire
property is AIR CONDITIONED.

By the pool is a large, shaded, rain proof
pergola with wood decking and a bar with a
well stocked fridge. There is also a card table
with games, yoga mats and blankets, I POD
deck and a soft sofa. Pool towels are included
and replaced each day.
