Il Palazzetto is situated on hilltop at
the end of a lane of beautiful
cypress trees. The house is
surrounded by the Sienese hills with
views of stone houses, cypresses
and umbrella pines. There are
spectacular all around views. The
house is furnished with a
combination of antiques and modern.
There are the original beams and
terra cotta floors and high quality
fabrics. The white and beige theme
throughout is coordinated to
perfection with fabrics, paint and art
work. It has been featured in
Architectural Digest. Outside, there
is a large marble table in a shaded
area as well as a covered sitting area
by the swimming pool, which is set
off from the house. Also, there is a
wood fired oven for making pizzas.
Just ten minutes from Siena, the
newly redone ss # 326 can take you
to Arezzo or Cortona while the
nearby ss # 2 will take you to
Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia. For
those wanting to go to Florence, the
Florence - Siena autostrada is minutes
away. The Chianti hills with its
vineyards are a short drive north. This
elegant villa is ideal for families or
groups of friends.
