This house dates back to the 17th
century and was originally built as a
farm manager's house with wine
cellars, stables and a hayloft for the
Mansi-Bernardini estate. It has been
tastefully converted into a villa with
pretty country style bedrooms on
different levels and modern baths
and kitchen. The result is a
farmhouse of a high standard situated
on top of a hill, east of Lucca, with
magnificent views over the plain
below. The swimming pool is in a
breathtaking position about 150
meters from the house. By the side
of the pool is a cabin with a
kitchenette and bath. There is a
tennis court on the estate that is
shared with the other houses. The
house has SAT TV, VCR and hi-fi
system. The maid who takes care of
the house is also an excellent cook
and, on request, she will cook local
dishes for the guests. The estate's
office, on the estate, with English
speaking staff is available for
assistance. When rented with the
other houses on the estate, this is a
beautiful location for a wedding with
accommodations for 50 guests.
Reservations should be made at least
a year in advance.
