Into the woods you will go - to escape to
this exquisite stone villa with two separate
annexes - tucked into the rolling, verdant
hills of Tuscany. Approach the 3000 sq. ft.
property via a winding, uphill road, and take
in the 360 degree views. This four acre
property is surrounded by the undulating
countryside, lush olive trees, surrounding
lavender and quiet charm.
The rustic stone villa has an atmosphere of
gracious calm and storybook magic. Step
inside the entryway to a cozy foyer, sitting
room and spacious living area warmed by
an open fireplace. The interior features
exceptional tiled terracotta floors, dramatic
high ceilings, soft natural hues, eye-opening
windows, and a series of never ending
French doors that open up the living space
to the delightful hills and landscaping
beyond. On the ground floor, the lovely
dining room extends through French doors
to the pool and pergola. The modern kitchen
with wood burning stove connects through
French doors to the outside patio with
panoramic views of the countryside. There
are also two ground floor bedrooms with
outside access. On the first floor you can
bury yourself in a cozy study area with fax,
computer, and dial up internet - reachable
via a separate entry, up some steps. The two
annexes can be entered via upper and lower
doorways, and offer queen / twin bedroom
suites and kitchenette areas. All of the
bedrooms in the main house have en-suite
baths.
Federica offers an escape from the ordinary
and an entry into the sublime. While away
long afternoons at the swimming pool, dine
al fresco on the patio, or in the barbecue
area or pergola. The house is just steps from
the rolling Tuscan hills, where you can hike
or use complimentary mountain bikes
(limited number). For further pampering and
relaxation, the Fonte Verde thermal spa is
just a walk away. Later on, wander down the
road to the owner's restaurant, a charming l
ocal trattoria that offers regular tastings of
local wines. Get into the spirit and frame of
mind for a satisfying sojourn of mythic
proportions.
