Ideally situated in a small tranquil valley
below Mt. Cetona on one side and
overlooking the Val d'Orcia on the other,
Casa del Pittore is near the medieval town
of Sarteano, near San Casciano dei Bagni,
with the newly opened Fonte Verde Spa.
Also nearby are Bagno Vignoni,
Radicofani, Cetona and Pienza.
Set in a quiet and secluded area on 30 acres
of land, there is a vegetable garden with
fresh herbs, lettuces and tomatoes, depending
on the month. The house was built in the
late 1800's and was restored in 2001. The
furnishings have been carefully selected to
reflect the tastes of the owners, who have
designed many houses in Italy and sets for
the stage and opera. All of the rooms have
views over the valley, woods, fields or pool.
